Bradshaw Road Speed Enforcement

Good Morning Resident,

Following complaints of speeding on Bradshaw Road in Bradshaw, close to the Darchini, officers from GMP’s Special Operations Branch conducted speed enforcement in the area yesterday morning (27/03/24).

In the three hours at the location, 12 motorists were caught driving at excessive speed, the highest being 57mph in a 40mph zone.

A number of residents spoke to the officers at the location and were very grateful for our enforcement.

We are aware of complaints at other locations, such as Tottington Road, Hardy Mill Road and Turton Road. Where possible, we will look to conduct speed enforcement at these locations too.

Whilst road safety is a priority for us, we also have other priorities to look at, such as the recently burglaries in Harwood, anti-social behaviour at and around Morrisons, as well as drug dealing in the area.

We are committed to reducing the number of collisions taking place on our roads and have launched Operation Classify to target hotspot areas.

Help us to keep our roads safe by taking care when driving, and reporting those putting lives at risk.

As always, you can reply to this email with any feedback or other issues that concern you in the Bradshaw/Harwood area.

Kind regards,
