Dear Resident, This week, the beat team have been busy completing the following jobs: Reassurance patrols around Ling Road shops following an incident last week. We have been engaging with local businesses and and offering advice. We have met up with a housing agency to discuss anti-social behaviour caused by their current tenants, with further action being taken.A visit to a local primary school to continue building positive relationships with the children. We have assisted with a roads policing operation on Epinal Way to promote road safety. Unfortunately, there were many drivers found guilty of not wearing a seat belt and also using a mobile phone whilst driving, resulting in many Traffic Offence Reports being given. We have visited a vulnerable family and have created safeguarding reports to help them get the support and help they need and deserve.ASB call backs with victims that have reported anti-social behaviour. Sentinels have been created to record this, reassurance patrols have been conducted and also intelligence reports have been submitted. We have visited some schools during home-time to observe the traffic issue after reports of inappropriate parking. These visits will continue as we hope to visit all schools across the beat.We have also dealt with a report of sextortion on the beat and offered advice and support. Along with all this, we have also patrolled the beat on foot and aswell as in a marked car to offer reassurance to residents, to provide a deterrent and to also be available for local residents to approach us with any concerns. Finally, PCSO Clare will be hosting a Beat Surgery at BEACON CHILDREN AND FAMILY WELLBEING CENTRE, WOODTHORPE ROAD, LE11 2NF on Wednesday 24th April at 09:00-11:00am. Please do come along and say hello, discuss local issues and receive crime prevention advice. We look forward to seeing you there. Have a lovely weekend, The Beat Team |
