Rogue Traders may be operating in the area

In the wake of the damage caused by the recent high winds we have had a report of a potential rogue trader knocking on doors asking to do work on people’s roofs. He is described as a White Male mid 40s driving a plain white van. It is claimed that he is offering to do the work needed there and then, pretending to work and then asking for payment. He may be targeting older or vulnerable residents so if you have any vulnerable family or friends, please make them aware.

Remember, don't immediately agree to door step callers carrying out works, if you do require work completing get several quotations and only use use ‘trusted traders’.

I have attached a link to a way to find Trusted Traders in Derbyshire as well as a poster with some more helpful tips.
