Following on from a shoplifter being detained by PC 40405 HARRIS on 2nd May 2024 in Evesham Town Centre at Iceland, after he had already just stolen items from Home Bargains, he has now been dealt with by means of a Community Resolution. This is an out of court disposal method open to the Police under certain circumstances, when specific criteria is met. On this occasion, due to the stolen items being returned to the stores, they were happy that no further action (prosecution) was taken, and the male has been instructed to do a letter of apology to the stores and he is now also banned from the two locations.
