Vehicle Crime

Dear Residents,

Recently on 04/05/2024 there was an incident on Thorntrees Avenue in which to unknown male offenders wearing balaclava masks have tried the door handles on the victims car on their driveway during the hours of darkness. The car was parked locked and secured. The two unknown male offenders then walked down the side of the house and tried the shed door to see if it was open, thankfully it was locked. Both offenders then left the premises and nothing was stolen.

Please use this as a reminder to ensure all doors are always locked. Cover up windows to the shed to make it less attractive to criminals. We also suggest installing a ring door bell or CCTV as they can capture footage of these thief's. They also act as a great deterrent to thief's as they know they are being recorded.

The Neighbourhood Policing team will be actively patrolling the area and will look to target these criminals. If anyone has any CCTV footage of any suspects or suspicious activity around the time of this break in. Please contact 101 and quote the log reference number LC-20240505-1012.

We thankyou for your continued support.

Kind regards,

PCSO Alex PCSO Caitlan and PC Abby
