Street Watch: Join the scheme today!

Would you like to help keep your community safe, get some exercise, and meet new people?

We are looking for more volunteers to join our Street Watch scheme!

As a Street Watch volunteer, you will walk your local streets in groups and provide reassurance and engagement with local issues that matter most. While you will have no police powers, you will work directly with local policing teams to report any issues noticed during your walks.

Becoming a Street Watch Volunteer is a fantastic way to help keep your community safe, to meet new people in your community who share the same values, to improve community engagement with the police, and to keep fit and healthy.

Residents across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire have already signed up to the scheme and we are seeing its positive effects take place! If you're also interested in becoming a Street Watch member you can learn more by clicking here.

Or email the team directly: citizensinpolicing@westmercia.police.uk.

Please see attached pics of PCSO David Alexander and volunteer John Roberts putting up Op Snap signs in Lea yesterday as part of a Street Watch patrol. They were out for over an hour and engaged with local residents who were very pleased to see them. Volunteer Daniel Radanovic has become a Street Watch volunteer for Ross-on-Wye and been out on some Saturday morning walks with PCSO Alexander. In Whitchurch Andrew Wilson is also a Street Watch volunteer and been out speaking to residents and local businesses. Please see above if you would like to volunteer and make a difference to your community.
