We have had increase in reports of motorcycle thefts in and around the Staffordshire Moorlands area, so please make sure your bike is secure if you're leaving it in a public area or when you store it at home, as thefts of this kind are often opportunistic.

We would advise that you to:

Trace: Consider tracking, forensic marking, visible warning labels, and recording any chassis or serial numbers.

Lock: Use a taut chain lock through the rear wheel and frame, a disc lock on the front, and a d-lock or heavy-duty chain on the front wheel to secure it to an anchor point.

Cover: Use a cover to conceal your bike and deter thieves, and lock it in a garage or outbuilding where possible.
