Overnight from 06/11 - 07/11/2024 unknown persons were reported to have accessed the perimeter fencing at Drax Power Station  by cutting through a secure gate area. Once inside the site, vehicles are reported to have been moved and a  JCB bulldozer belonging to a sub-contractor has then been driven back through the point of entry fencing and abandoned in an adjoining field on Brown Cow Road.

Police investigation is ongoing and we are making a specific request to residents of properties on Brown Cow Road (where the bulldozer was abandoned) to please check residential CCTV systems and report anything of note to North Yorkshire Police. 

We are particularly interested in sightings of the stolen bulldozer and possibly a grey/ dark coloured Mitsubishi Shogun.
