Appeal following attempted robbery in Southampton

We are appealing for witnesses to come forward in relation to an attempted robbery in Southampton.

At about 6.20pm on Monday 11 November, a 15-year-old male was walking along Archery Road when he was approached by three other male teens.

They demanded he give them his airpods and punched him in the face when he refused.

Two members of the public who were driving past at the time intervened and gave the victim a lift home, but no details of these people are known.

Three males, aged 14, 16 and 16 and all from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

They have been released on bail until 11 February while further enquiries are carried out.

We would like to speak to anyone with information about this incident and anyone with relevant dash cam, doorbell or other CCTV footage.

In particular, we would like to speak to the kind couple who intervened and drove the victim home, as we need to take their witness statements.

If you are these people or know who they are, please get in touch with us.

You can call 101 quoting reference 44240492082 or report online via https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
