We want to make you aware that there has been an increase in burglary incidents in the area. Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.

Recent reports indicate that offenders are typically:

Three males dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas

Gaining entry by accessing back gardens and smashing glass on rear doors

If you see anyone matching this description or notice unusual behaviour, please call 999 in an emergency or 101 for non-emergency reports.

Following recent burglary reports, we are sharing important crime prevention tips to help keep your property secure:

1. Secure Jewellery and Valuables

Keep jewellery, cash, and other valuables out of sight and away from windows.

Consider using a safe that is securely fixed to the property.

2. Rear Doors, Windows, and Glazing

Check the security of all rear doors and windows.

Upgrade locks where possible and consider laminated or toughened glass for added protection.

3. External Security Lighting and CCTV

Install motion-activated security lighting or CCTV to deter intruders.

Ensure cameras and lights are mounted at a height out of reach to prevent tampering or damage.

4. Alarm and CCTV Control Units

Keep alarm panels and CCTV control bases securely located and out of sight.

Ensure they cannot be easily accessed or damaged by burglars.
