I wanted to provide you with an update regarding I have no issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. ✨ South Wales Police - Festive Home Safety Reminder ✨
As Christmas decorations start to brighten up our streets and homes, South Wales Police would like to remind residents to enjoy the festivities safely: • 🎄 Lights & electrics -Only use lights that meet UK safety standards, avoid overloading sockets, and always switch them off before going to bed or leaving the house. • ✨ Outdoor displays -Please avoid leaving decorations or lighting displays on overnight. Not only does this reduce fire risk, but it also prevents unnecessary energy use and helps keep neighbours undisturbed. • 🕯️ Candles -Keep candles away from trees, curtains, and decorations, and never leave them unattended. • 🎁 Presents on display -Try not to leave gifts or expensive items in clear view of windows where they could attract thieves. • 🔒 Home security -With visitors coming and going, make sure doors and windows are properly locked and that keys aren’t left near the letterbox or front door. • 🪜 Outdoor decorations -Secure any ladders or tools you’ve used to put up outside lights, so they can’t be used to gain access to your home.
We want everyone in our communities to enjoy a safe and peaceful Christmas. If you see anything suspicious, please report it to South Wales Police via 101, our online reporting services, or 999 in an emergency. 🎅🎁✨
