Appeal for witnesses following serious injury collision – Reading

We're appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision in Reading.

On Friday 1 May, around 3.20pm, a collision happened between a red Mazda 2 and a blue Toyota Yaris on Purley Rise, in Purley on Thames.

The driver of the Mazda, a man in his eighties, received serious injuries and remains in hospital. 

No arrests have been made at this time.

PC Jon Wildridge, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are carrying out an investigation following the serious injury to the driver of the Mazda.

“I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw these vehicles in the area at this time to please come forward.

“Please check your dashcams to see if they captured anything around this time at this location.”
