We are investigating three separate instances of criminal damage at St John’s Church in Abram.
This includes:
• Two incidents involving damage to irreplaceable historic windows
• The desecration of at least six graves within the churchyard
This behaviour is completely unacceptable and deeply upsetting to our local community.
We do have CCTV footage of the suspected offenders, and officers will be following up all lines of enquiry.
The most recent offence occurred between 01:00hrs and 03:00hrs on 09/06/26.
We would ask anyone with information to please come forward.
