Teenager Charged


A teenager has been charged following a series of burglaries and the theft of two cars in Upper Tean.

Taylor Allen, 18, of Upper Tean, has been charged with four counts of burglary and two counts of taking a motor vehicle without consent.

He has also been charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third-party insurance, and breach of bail conditions.

It comes after an investigation into four burglaries in the Upper Tean area between Monday 3 June and Sunday July 14 this year.

A Fiat Bravo and a BMW X3 were stolen, along with keys to other vehicles, house keys, and other items.

Allen appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Monday (22 July) and has been bailed ahead of his next appearance at Stafford Crown Court on Friday 23 August.
