A Tri-Service Safety Officer (TSSO) has been appointed in Camborne. The TSSO role combines expertise from the three emergency services: police, fire and ambulance. TSSO Yasmin Matthews will aid local efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour and enhance community safety. As part of her duties, Yasmin will be out on hotspot patrols to deter and disrupt crime in key areas. These foot patrols will also enable engagement with residents, businesses and visitors. Inspector Louisa Brown, who oversees the neighbourhood policing team in Camborne, said: “Yasmin’s appointment as Camborne’s Tri-Service Safety Officer is a welcome addition to our local team. The TSSO role offers a fantastic opportunity for joint working across the emergency services. Yasmin’s broad skill set has already proven to be really beneficial and I look forward to continuing our ongoing work to increase community safety.” Come and say hello if you see Yasmin out on patrol. |
