Good afternoon Rutland,

Dedicated Neighbourhood Officers PCSO Lauren Lyall and PC Jake Spruce have visited Whissendine C.E. Primary School today to speak with their reception and year 1 classes. 

We spoke about what the Police do, how to call 999 and what to expect, as well as showing them our kit and the most exciting part… the Police car with the lights and sirens! 

A big thank you to all of the children for their excellent questions and brilliant engagement. 

We then stuck around to complete school pick up parking patrols and we’re pleased to report that everything went smoothly. 

Now that the schools are back for a new school year we are planning on making our way around as many as possible.
