Hi Resident
If you find this information helpful please “rate” this message at the bottom (very quick and simple).
Your ‘Beat Bobby’ for Sandown and Lake, PC Trickey, was burning the midnight oil last night! But the late finish was worthwhile…
We posted yesterday about an individual trying to outrun PCSO Webb’s E-bike. Well, following enquiries, 53-year-old Matthew Lewendon, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of threatening a person with an offensive weapon, and was remanded to Court.
The charges relate to an incident on 27 September at the Premier Inn on Sandown Esplanade, when it’s alleged that staff were threatened with a dog lead.
At the Magistrates hearing today, Lewendon was further remanded in custody to appear at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 11 November.
Please keep telling us the issues that matter to you in your community, and your Neighbourhoods Team will continue to commit to relentlessly pursuing criminals, to make the Bay a safe place to work, live and visit.
All the Best
Sgt Sharland
