Vehicle examiners at Bakewell ABC.

Vehicle examiners at Bakewell ABC.

Today Derbyshire Constabulary Vehicle examiners visited the farmers market in Bakewell checking vehicles and trailers, the main fault highlighted were lights not in working order which is an easy thing to check before setting off on the road.

A secondary coupling and a breakaway cable were missing from two trailers which are legal requirements for them to be used on the road.

The vehicle examiners are planning more visits to the ABC on Mondays over the next few months to look at vehicle safety. The feedback was that the vast majority of vehicles and trailers that were checked were in good condition and were fully legal.
