Dear Resident,

On the morning of 31st October, PCs Gale & Booth conducted a street PACT on Wauchop Street, Thornes where residents were spoken to about issues that may be affecting them in their local area. 

Some of those spoken to reported concerns about a potential cannabis farm and an address was pointed out to the officers. 

With the assistance of the other officers from Wakefield Central NPT North, entry was gained to the property where a cannabis farm was discovered with over 100 cannabis plants. 

One male was found inside the residential property and he was arrested for cultivation of cannabis and immigration offences.
