Anti-Social Behaviour, Burntwood Park, Elder Lane

We are getting a number of reports about a group of youths causing ASB and nuisance at Burntwood Park, Elder Lane.

They are preventing younger children playing in the park and are verbally abusive to the parents who are trying to look after their children.

It has been reported that they are using their electric bikes and electric scooters on the sandpit areas and churning up the sand, which is stopping the children playing happily and safely. One report states that the group were verbally abusive and threatened a parent for blocking and protecting the area their child was playing on, which caused the parent and child to leave immediately.

This is unacceptable behaviour, the area is going to be patrolled more than usual due to the ongoing reports and any groups causing issues will be dealt with accordingly.

Parents, if you have heard of this or think/know this could be your child causing the ASB and nuisance could you please speak to them about acceptable behaviour in the community.
