Crime Report Kirkby in Ashfield and the Rural Villages for the week to midnight Wednesday 30 October 2024


Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

At 0.14am on Friday 25 October in Maple Crescent, Kirkby in Ashfield, a bungalow was broken into.

At 12.30pm on Sunday 27 October in Mansfield Road, Underwood, CCTV captured a white male, around 30 years old, 6-2”, athletic build, short brown hair, cropped beard, wearing a black tracksuit with hood and white trainers, trying house doors and looking in windows.

Burglary Other

At 2.29am on Wednesday 30 October in Forest Road, Annesley, five people with wooden planks breaking into the former scout hut behind houses on Forest Road. They left the scene in a silver estate car.

Theft of motor vehicle

At some time on Friday 11 to and including Sunday 13 October in Main Road, Jacksdale, an unsecured white Honda CBF 125 motorbike was stolen from a front garden.

Between 10.30pm on Wednesday 23 and 5.30am on Thursday 24 October in Bannerman Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a black Ford Fiesta ST car was stolen.

Between 2.00am and 6.00am on Thursday 24 October in Valentine Avenue, Selston, a black Vauxhall Astra car was stolen. It was recovered later.

Criminal Damage

At 8.29pm on Tuesday 29 October in Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, five 10 to 14 year old males, all in dark clothing, were reported trying to get into the Leisure Centre car park via damaged fencing. Two were on push bikes. 

Around 3.06pm on Tuesday 29 October in Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a two inch dent was made in the door of a black Peugeot 308 car in the Aldi car park. This was caused when the door of a blue Renault Twingo, parked next to it, was opened. The driver of the Twingo inspected the damage before driving off.

ASB

At 7.23pm on Thursday 24 October in Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, three 14 year old white males, in black hoodies and black track suite bottoms were blocking the exit to the Festival Hall car park. They pushed barriers in the way of vehicles trying to leave.

At 6.29pm on Friday 25 October in Lowmoor Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of youths in the service yard at the back of Ladbrooks banging on doors and climbing scaffolding.

At 7.41pm on Wednesday 30 October in Oakham Drive, Selston, a complaint of eight youths in dark clothing banging on a house door three times in the past hour.

At 8.27pm on Wednesday 30 October in Sherwood Way, Selston, a report of groups of youths jumping through hedges and kicking at doors. This has been happening for the past few days.
