It has been brought to our attention that residents in the LODDON BRIDGE ROAD, WOODLEY area are receiving door knocks from an individual wishing to purchase their unwanted gold and jewellery.

This message is being sent to everyone registered in the WOODLEY and EARLEY areas.  

Trends suggest that he is approaching the elderly and more vulnerable, and vastly under-pricing the value of the items he purchases.

While the transaction itself is legitimate, we are concerned that his undervaluing of items is leaving the residents short-changed and we are also concerned with his tactics used to gain trust and entry to their homes.

Investigations are already underway.
