A pensioner in the Fegg Hayes area was so scared by local youngsters trick or treating she partied with a large sum of money so that they would go away.

The lady was left terrified and penniless some of the children had parents with them who did not see an issue with the lady emptying out her purse.

Neighbours, Council, Police and community groups have all come together to offer the lady some support.

She has received flowers and food hampers and is starting to feel more confident in herself.

Please be aware whose door your children are knocking at if a poster says no trick or treaters respect it.
