It's that time of year again with Bonfire night coming up and a number of firework displays around Lancaster and Morecambe this week. We want members of the public in Lancashire to enjoy Bonfire Night. Fireworks can be a lot of fun, but incidents involving fireworks, firelighters and other combustible materials cause alarm and distress in our communities, and we will take positive action to protect the public. There are a minority of people who use this occasion to take part in anti-social behaviour activities and put other people's enjoyment at risk. This will not be tolerated. We are therefore asking that everyone shows respect to each other during this period, whether you are participating in any celebrations or not. Demand on us and other emergency services is always significantly higher during this time. Thank you and enjoy the festivities. | ||||
