GRSP and RoadPeace are asking for your support in promoting and attending an event to mark the World Day of Remembrance for Road Victims on 17 November. 
The centrepiece of the day is a remembrance service at 2pm on 17 November at Minchinhampton Holy Trinity Church. This is being organised by GRSP in partnership with RoadPeace the leading road victim charity. 50% of donations collected on the day will be given to RoadPeace.  

The service is in support of road victims’ families to ensure their loved ones are never forgotten. The service will also recognise the incredible work of our emergency services and draw attention to the needless deaths on our roads. 

To date we have had 19 fatalities on our county roads this year.  

In attendance will be Chair of the Gloucestershire Road Partnership Dave Norman, PCC Chris Nelson, and Assistant Chief Constable Donna Lawton. 

Members of the Mounted Unit and Police Cadets will be assisting with the logistics.

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims was started by RoadPeace in 1993 and was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2005. 

Gloucestershire is one of a cohort of counties in the UK supporting RoadPeace with  an event.  Events from November 17 – November 17 – RoadPeace
