Community Safety News

Dear Residents,

We are continuing to target criminals, illegal drivers, those involved in violence and anti-social behaviour in Dudley Town Centre and within our local neighbourhoods.

What’s been happening:-

•      Dudley Town Centre

Officers continue to carry out high visibility patrols within the hot spots on Dudley Town Centre.   We have introduced additional targeted patrols to tackle anti-social behaviour at specific times and specific locations.

•      High Visibility Patrols

PCSO’s have carried out mobile patrols on the East Sector for Mischief Fortnight, this involves identifying anti-social behaviour to include the misuse of fireworks and other anti-social behaviour issues, with our intention of keeping our communities safe.

 •      Community Event

PCSO’s have carried out several Police Surgeries in and around the Dudley Central location, this involves engagement with the community, to enable them to bring to our attention any of their concerns regarding issues within their local neighbourhood.

•      Off Road Bikes

We are continuing our work to tackle problems regarding off road bikes around the Dudley borough.  Any information regarding off road bikes please let us know, as we continue to patrol the areas of concern.

•      Crime Prevention

If you’ve witnessed or been the victim of crime that is not an emergency, please report it to us by calling 101 or by using the webchat.

When reporting a crime does it feel like the situation could get heated or violent very soon?

Is someone in immediate danger?

Do you need support right away?

If so please call 999 now

•      Darker Nights

It’s that time of year again - the clocks have gone back and the nights are getting darker. We normally see a spike in burglary around this time of year so make sure you lock up and protect your home.

A big thank you to;

Our Russell’s Hall/London Heights Street Watch groups for their continued hard work and support for the local community.

If you have any intelligence which you wish to share with us, please email:

dudleycentral@westmidlands.police.uk

Regards.
