Over the weekend Traffic officers were busy in Bromyard conducting speed enforcement on the A44.  We conduct speed enforcement to keep you, our community safe.  

Did you know speed is a contributory factor in 1 in 3 fatal road crashes.  A crash at 30mph has twice the destructive potential of a crash at 20mph.  At higher speeds you have less time to react and stop in an emergency.  The A44 is a well used road by vehicles but also by pedestrians walking alongside.  Bromyard is a built up area, and we would like all of our community to stay safe.

Along with the speed enforcement,  there was a number of eye site tests completed, two vehicles were seized for having no insurance and there was 1 arrest for drug driving.

Remember a speed limit is a top speed for the road, not a target!
