Officers investigating a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at around 3am on Saturday 2 November 2024 that a vehicle was seen driving erratically in the area of Conifer Avenue, before it subsequently collided with a parked vehicle in Alton Road. Damage was also caused to a telegraph pole and a bollard.
It is reported that the vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene. It is believed to be light blue or purple in colour and may be a Kia Picanto or similar model.
Police Constable Alice Beavon, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to identify the vehicle involved in this incident and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation.
“I would urge any residents in the area with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, as well as motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity, to please check their footage for anything of relevance.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who has come across any vehicles in the vicinity that have sustained damage in unexplained or suspicious circumstances.”
