Witness appeal following reported exposure incident in Purbeck


Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a reported incident of indecent exposure in Purbeck.

 

It was reported that at around 1.30pm on Friday 1 November 2024 a man allegedly exposed himself and performed an indecent act on Knoll Beach in Studland.

 

Following enquiries, a 45-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure. He was further arrested in connection with seven other offences in the area dating back to March 2024.

 

He has been released on police bail as officers continue their investigation.

 

Police Constable Molly James, of the Dorset Police Volume Crime Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and we have now made an arrest.

 

“We understand there are likely to have been a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and so I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity to please come forward.

 

“Furthermore, I would urge anyone who has witnessed similar activity in this area in the past who has not yet spoken to police to please come forward.”
