Please keep your vehicles secure when parked up and unattended. Staffordshire Police continue to receive reports of both theft from and theft of motor vehicles.

Simple advice and tips to follow will will hopefully help you from becoming a victim of vehicle related crime.

* Keep your vehicle locked

* Park in non secluded, well it areas, or on a your drive way or garage if applicable.

* Use a UK Police approved, British Standard Steering Wheel Lock.

* DON'T leave any valuables on show in your vehicle. 

* Use Faraday bags or metal tins to keep your keys in when your keys are in your home, this will stop a signal omitting between your keys and vehicle. Criminals use devices that retrieve the signal from your key to assist them with entering and stealing your vehicle.

* Keep your doors to you home locked, even when you are at home, opportunist criminals will exploit any chance for an easy way to access vehicle keys, even in broad day light, consider where you leave your keys.
