Dear Resident,

We were really disappointed to received a report of criminal damage to a bench, in Broad Street, Ely, yesterday which has been donated by the British Legion.

These benches often serve as lasting memorials, honouring veterans and reminding communities of the sacrifices made by service members.

Vandalism in Ely won't be tolerated and the neighbourhood team are working to find those responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police quoting reference 35/80760/24.
