Police shut down Huntingdon cannabis factory

Dear Resident,

Your Huntingdon neighbourhood team have shut down a £700k cannabis factory in Huntingdon.

Officers discovered the cannabis factory in Judson Court earlier this month (1 November) and seized 735 plants, with a street value of more than £700,000, along with growing equipment across three rooms.

You can view footage of the seizure on our YouTube Channel.

No arrests have been made but an investigation is ongoing.

The seizure follows concerns raised by members of the public.

There are key signs to spot a property that could be being used as a cannabis factory:

  • Frequent visitors to a property at unsocial hours throughout the day and night
  • Blacked out windows or condensation on the windows, even when it is not cold outside
  • Bright lights in rooms throughout the night
  • Electricity meters being tampered with/altered and new cabling, sometimes leading to street lighting. High electricity bills can also be an indicator
  • A powerful, distinctive, sweet, sticky aroma and noise from fans
  • An excessive amount of plant pots, chemicals, fertilisers and compost.
  • If you suspect a cannabis factory where you live, or drug dealing in your area, report it to us online or call 101.

    Kind Regards,

    Huntingdon Neighbourhood Team
