Op Sceptre - Tunbridge Wells

Today the Child Centred Policing Team and Town Centre Beat Officers have been at Five Ways in Tunbridge Wells, engaging with young people about Op Sceptre, a national police response to knife crime . Once again we were working alongside The Family Hub, Youth Team, quizing young people about true and false knife crime facts, showing them how to administer first aid to a catastrophic bleed, getting their thoughts on safety in Tunbridge Wells and finding out if they know who to go to for support. It was great to see so many young people engaging with us and telling us their thoughts, including; “I feel safe in the town”, “I feel more safe, the busier it is in town” and "I would tell a teacher, if I knew someone was carrying a knife".
