Good afternoon!
Officers attended a partnership meeting in Spondon this morning to discuss ongoing issues in our community and what we are pro-actively doing to fix them. They were joined with partners such as Derby City Council, local Councillors, and other members. We will be looking at the points raised in the meeting and will work to rectify these.
Officers then visited Cherry Tree Primary School today for a walk around the school and engaged with all year groups including nursery alongside the the Assistant Headteacher.
Shortly afterwards, they attended Roe Farm Primary School to deliver knife crime presentations to year 6's as part of our Op Sceptre knife crime awareness week, where we explained the dangers of carrying knives, and what they can do to keep themselves away from harm.
Due to recent events, officers may be seen whilst they patrol Spondon during school start and finishing times.
A female has been arrested for X2 shoplifting.
Nitrous Oxide have been seen and disposed of in the Chaddesden West ward, where officers spotted a grand total of 13 cannisters! These are classed as a Class C drug and have now been safely removed off of our streets.
More updates to following during the week.
