Officers from the Hucknall Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates. 20 November 2024, 10:00 – 11:00. This is an opportunity to meet members of your local policing team and discuss any issues you may have regarding crime or antisocial behaviour in your neighbourhood Community Event (District level) 29 November 2024 12:00 – 14:00. High Street, Hucknall, NG15 7AX Ashfield District Council, Police and partners will be present at the event to speak with members of the public and offer relevant suitable personal safety advice.
Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Around 8.40pm on Monday 11 November in Bolsover Street, Hucknall, the back door of a property was smashed in, the noise waking the owner. He confronted the intruder inside the house. Described as male, large build, unshaven and wearing a dark hoodie, he ran off through the back garden. Burglary Other At 11.50am on Friday 8 November in Priory Road, Hucknall, a report of an allotment being broken into, access being from the adjoining plot. The shed was entered and items moved out side, a hammer being found in the middle of a pathway. One of the tools taken was found broken beside another garden’s gate. Between 8.30pm on Monday 11 and 7.45am on Tuesday 12 November in Bolsover Street, Hucknall, the latch and padlock to a shed were broken to gain entry to a garden shed. A grey Challenger VXD hybrid bike, with a black sticker saying “Football Coach”, was stolen. We do not know at this time if anything was taken from a storage box in the shed. Theft of motor vehicle At 7.30pm on Monday 11 November in Baths Lane, Hucknall, a silver Chrysler four door saloon car, left unlocked, was entered. The handbrake was released and the vehicle moved but we do not know if anything was stolen. The offender also tried the handles of other vehicles in the yard and the door to the business premises before leaving. Between 5.00pm on Monday 11 and 10.00am Tuesday 12 November in Washdyke Lane, Hucknall, a white Seat Ibiza estate was stolen from the roadside. Theft from motor vehicle Around 9.00pm on Monday 11 November in Ashgate Road, Hucknall, a white Volkswagen Golf car, parked in the Tesco Store car park, was broken into by smashing the drivers side window. The glove box and armrest were searched. Not sure if anything was stolen. Theft Nothing to Report Criminal Damage Around 0.37am on Saturday 9 November in Portland Road, Hucknall, near the junction with Hankin Street. Three males, who were stood at the roadside, threw a glass bottle at a passing taxi causing a dent in the bodywork. Between 7.25am and 6.25pm on Monday 11 November in Story Gardens, Hucknall, near the Butlers Hill Tram Stop, the windscreen of a blue Vauxhall Corsa car was smashed and the bonnet trampled on. At 11.45pm on Monday 11 November in Woollaton Street, Hucknall, the wing mirror was kicked off a red Vauxhall Grandland car. CCTV shows a white male, early 30’s, 5-11”, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. ASB At 8.58pm on Friday 8 November in Kenbrook Road, Hucknall, a report of three male teenagers piling stuff in the middle of the road to form obstructions to drive over. They also threw stones at passing cars, shouting at the drivers. Between 1.00am and 1.30am on Sunday 10 November in Dorey Way, Hucknall, a report of people driving around and setting off fireworks. The volume of noise waking people up. At 7.02 on Tuesday 12 November in High Street, Hucknall, a report of two 11/12 year old males running around on the Post Office roof. Both wearing black tracksuits, one having ginger hair.
