Dear residents,
Following multiple reports of antisocial behaviour and other offences at an address in South Wigston, we have been conducting more high visibility patrols and have conducted a patch walk with housing officers to provide reassurance and support to residents affected by nuisance behaviour and criminality.
Antisocial behaviour takes many forms and is often considered to be ‘low-level’, however we take a dim view of those who blight our communities and we are taking robust action against those at fault.
Antisocial behaviour is defined as behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household as the person. It is considered to be disruptive to others in society. Antisocial behavior encapsulates actions that deviate from the accepted norms of a given society or community, often manifesting as violations of societal rules, laws, or ethical standards.
The last calendar month alone has seen individual arrested, given community resolutions or brought in to the police station to sign acceptable behaviour contracts, and we are proud to say that we have made significant progress in reducing ASB in South Wigston.
