Bleed Boxes

Bleed box kits have been installed in Bury town centre now for some time after community efforts were made to secure money for the lifesaving equipment.

Two of the kits are installed on Silver Street after Rotarians and businesses including Stanley’s of Bury bar and Tesco contributed by fundraising.

A bleed control kit allows members of the public to help someone who has suffered a catastrophic bleed before emergency services can reach them.

This then gives a person who is injured a better chance of recovery as immediate first aid has been carried out. Prevention of stabbing incidents are the main priority, but it is hoped that providing bleed kits to as many priority areas of Bury as possible will help save lives.

Follow the below link to see how to use one of these kits
