Good Evening 

        Today, the Neighbourhood Policing Team, in partnership with Trading Standards have conducted an operation in Rossendale around the sale of knives from shops to underage persons. 

      Several shops around Rossendale Valley where targeted during the operation. Unfortunately a number of shops failed and our volunteers where able to purchase a knife.

      The shop owners where spoken to at length by both ourselves and trading standards. They will be dealt with at a later date as part of a trading standards investigation.
