Increased foot patrol through Memorial Gardens.

This week as part of OP SCEPTRE, a national focus on knife crime, we have increased the number of foot patrols in and around the Town Centre, including showing a presence in the Memorial Gardens. Officers from the Beat Team completed a sweep of the Memorial Gardens to ensure that there were no misplace or disguarded knives in the surrounding area.

We would encourage anyone looking to dispose of a knife, to do so safely and the most appropriate way would be to do so at one of the designated knife bins which you can find in Park Mall and Dover Place Car Park.  For more information about how Kent Police can support you as a victim of knife crime or as an young person that is being exposed to knife crime, take a look at the following link Stop knife crime | Kent Police
