This week, the Bedlington Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have undertaken work and engagement as part of The UK’s national Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week. This annual initiative is supported by HM Government, the Civil Service, all Police forces and Fire & Rescue Services in the country, Historic England, and thousands of housing providers, local authorities and community groups.
We attended an open engagement event at the Bedlington Learning Hive on Burnside in Bedlington Station with our partner Bernicia Housing and Northumberland County Council. Here, we discussed collaboration and strategic partnership working as well as engaged with local Parish Councillors and residents concerning issues they had raised and how through partnership working, we were tackling those issues. The Learning Hive is a great resource for the local community with its specialist staff from the Northern Learning Trust charity helping more local people than ever seize new employment opportunities through training and educational support. Following this event, PCSO Susan McCallum and PC Phil Oliver conducted a letter drop campaign in the local area encouraging residents to provide information to Police concerning motorcycle disorder. If you have any information regarding motorcycles being ridden on roads or in public spaces in your neighbourhood, please contact the team via email at bedlington.npt@northumbria.police.uk or by visiting the force website here. Alternatively, contact PCSO James Elliott on 07736462664 and he will respond to you in due course. In the event of an emergency or if something is happening there and then, contact the Police by calling 999. | ||||
