Hello Residents of Plungington, 

Earlier today, your Neighbourhood Policing Team were joined by Community Gateway to conduct a day of action in the Ashmoor Street area of Plungington. 

We recently have been having anti-social behaviour surrounding underpasses on Ashmoor Street- this has been issues surrounding fly-tipping, drug use and drug dealing. For some time, we have been working together behind the scenes trying to combat this problem.

We have conducted several drugs warrants in the area and stopped the supply of drugs in the area, we have conducted interventions with several of the offenders and helped them move on from the area. We hope that the residents have seen some improvements in the area.

Today we visited with gateway to speak to residents in regards to implementing fencing in the underpasses to prevent groups from congregating and using the area for illicit purposes. If you would like to speak to Gateway regarding your views about the fencing please contact them on 0800 953 0213.
