Blythe Crime Update.


Dear Resident,

Here are the Reported Crimes on Blythe from Monday 11th November – Tuesday 19th November 2024.

Burglary.

No Burglaries/ attempted burglaries have been reported.

Interference with Motor Vehicle.

Between the 18/11/24 5pm – 19/11/24 8.50am a Peugeot Boxer van was parked on The Plough/ Beefeater car park. Offender(s) have cut a hole in the rear door of the van trying to gain access. The vehicle was not entered and nothing was stolen.

Theft from motor vehicle.

No Theft from motor vehicle has been reported.

Theft of motor vehicles.

15/11/24 00.45am A grey Ford Puma was stolen by two hooded offenders without keys from Dewberry Road, Tidbury Green, with in five minutes.

 

16/11/24 between 11.30pm – 11.59pm a black Toyota Rav 4 was stolen without keys from Yarn Lane, Dickens Heath.

 

Please fit a steering lock as an extra layer of security to protect your keyless entry vehicle. Please inform your neighbours who may not be using this platform.

Darker nights are here. Please set your alarm if fitted. Leave lights on or use light timers. Never leave your house in darkness. 

Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. 

Please use anti-tamper screws available from most vehicle spares shops to secure your number plates securely to your vehicle.

  • Ensure that all shrubs and hedges do NOT encroach the maximum height of 1m and Tree canopies are lifted to 1.8m. This allows for maximum natural surveillance.

  • Ensure that all fences are the same height as smaller fencing abutting higher fencing acts as a potential climbing aid for offenders.

  • Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary.

  • Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
