ARREST: This evening a male was arrested at Rugeley Train Station after they committed a theft in Rugeley Town Centre. 

PCSO's Chad Carrington and Keaton Martin were on patrol when they received a transmission over the StoreNet radio stating a male had just been in a store in the town centre and stolen some items. Thanks to the efforts of @cannockchasedc CCTV Operators the PCSO's were able to receive a very accurate description of the male and the direction he had made off towards. 

The PCSO's then located the male shortly after at Rugeley Train Station where he was detained. A search by attending officers resulted in the stolen items being recovered and the male being arrested for Theft. 

We're continuing to work closely with stores in the Cannock Chase District to prevent theft in the first place but also in utilising the StoreNet radios system following a theft meaning the chance of getting away is massively reduced as the updates from the stores are live and direct to officers on the ground but also our eye in the sky, CCTV.
