National ASB Awareness Week

As part of national ASB awareness week we would like to share some of the work we do in the community to tackle the issues around anti social behaviour.

The Ribble Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team regularly perform patrols on foot where ASB has been highlighted as an issue by you the public, we also link in with other agencies to deter and to divert those involved looking at long term solutions as well as the here and now.

Op Centurion which has previously been mentioned on some of our Facebook posts is extra funding which allows us to deploy extra officers dedicated solely (no pun intended) to foot patrol, as a result we have seen a reduction in anti social behaviour in Clitheroe castle grounds which has been a persistent issue in the past.

This evening myself and PCSO Kearns-Turner have been on foot around Clitheroe town centre and the castle grounds, apart from a few brave youngsters braving the cold on the skatepark doing some impressive acrobatics and shivering dog walkers there has been nothing to report.

ASB is unacceptable - Everyone has the right to feel safe in their home and community.

Have a nice evening.

PC Green & PCSO Kearns-Turner
