Headcorn Drop-in Surgery

Today your local officer along with members from the parish council, Maidstone borough council and various other organisations have been taking part in a drop in ‘surgery’ where you the members of public had a chance to sit down and discuss ongoing issues with them in your local community. Some of the points taken away today was mainly based around the ongoing anti-social behaviour that is affecting this community daily which included catapulting, youths being anti-social along the high street and various other issues. During these discussions it was made aware that some parents are allowing their children to carry catapults, this is a crime and we encourage all members of public to contact the police if this is seen.

The collaborative work and community engagement was a big success today with hopefully some of the local residents questions finally answered. The next one is hopefully happening soon and we will invite members from Maidstone Bough Council, The Parish Council, employees of housing company's and various others to attend.

Finally, a big thank you to our host The Heart of Headcorn and a thank you for those who attended.
