Officers from Operation Capio were out on patrol in the Ashington area yesterday. During this time a Moped identified as having no insurance or valid tax was located by Officers, this was being used on public highways. 

Consequently the Moped was seized and uplifted at scene. 

The use of Motorbikes, Mopeds and Scooters without the relevant documentation is a significant issue. If you have any information regarding the use of these vehicles, please report this to Northumbria Police.
