Dear Resident Our neighbourhood teams in Walsall have been busy over the last week carrying out patrols tackling anti-social behaviour, visiting schools and youth clubs, tackling knife crime and working with our partners to clampdown on illegal vapes. Our Blakenall team linked up with Walsall Council’s Trading Standards team to seize a quantity of illegal vapes and drinks. Officers also teamed up with whg to carry out joint patrols in the Blakenall area tackling issues with anti-social behaviour. Willenhall neighbourhood officers visited Loft Youth Club to talk to the youths about anti-social behaviour during ASB Awareness Week where we are Making Communities Safer Our St Mathew’s team carried out a knife sweep at Palfrey Park as part of Op Sceptre last week with the aim of tackling knife crime and raising awareness. The team also carried out ASB patrols and delivered letters to parents and guardians of children who have been causing problems in the town centre. We also linked up with whg to visit premises where there are particular problems with ASB such as drug dealing. The St Matthew’s team also joined up with Cannock Police tackling ASB and shoplifting offenders on the region’s transport network. Our Brownhills team carried out night time patrols in and around secluded locations visiting areas such as Holland Park and High Heath Park. And our neighbourhood officers in Aldridge joined up with Walsall Council as part of #ASBAwarenessWeek where the council's new youth bus was deployed to engage with young people. They also attended Shire Oak Academy to speak with young people about ASB and how we are able to support them.
