Hello, This subject regularly groups up at Community Engagement events accross the sector, with frequent requests for mobile numbers of your local officer. The danger with contacting officers directly via a mobile is that we are not always in a position to take that call, we may be dealing with a matter, or may be off duty, and we have had instances where an important message has been left, relating to intelligence around a crime in progress, and it was not responded to for two to three days, due to officer leave, and the we had missed a crucial piece of information!!! ALL EMERGENCIES OR WHEN SOMEONE'S LIFE IS IN IMMINENT DANGER MUST BE REPORTED ON 999!!! The most convenient and quickest way to report a non-urgent matter is via our website, Home | Northamptonshire Police, however you can still call us on 101 if you prefer, calls are graded by threat, harm and risk, so whillst you may wait longer than another, it is dependant on other calls the contact centre is receiving, there is an average of about 800 calls for service every day!!! Remember, you can also find out about what we are doing as a team by entering your postcode on our home page. Kind Regards PCSO Matt Taylor South Northamptonshire Neighbourhood Team | ||||
