12th to 24th November 2024

Dear Surrey Heath Residents

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the past two weeks 12/11/24 to 24/11/24 Summary details of these are provided below.

BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY BURGLARY – 1

45240135352 Swift Lane, BAGSHOT – attempt burglary of premises.  Occurred between 16:15hrs on 23/11/24 and 08:45hrs on 24.11.24.

 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY – 9

45240131405 The Buchan, CAMBERLEY – entry gained via front door using crowbar, a substantial amount of jewellery and money stolen.  Occurred on 14/11/24 around 19:31hrs.

45240132249 Heathpark Drive, WINDELSHAM – entry gained via smashing back door and an untidy search conducted.  Personal items stolen.  Occurred on 14/11/24 between 06:30hrs and 18:15hrs.

45240132252 Broadway Road, LIGHTWATER – entry gained via side kitchen window, untidy search conducted, not known if items stolen.  Occurred on 16/11/24 at 16:00hrs.

45240132489 Hawthorn Way, BISLEY – entry gained via smashing the rear patio door, untidy search conducted, and jewellery stolen. Occurred on 16/11/24 between 15:45hrs and 18:00hrs.

45240133214 Lightwater Meadow, LIGHTWATER – attempted burglary using crowbar to front door, burglar alarm was set off.  Occurred on 18/11/24 at 20:00hrs.

45240133487 Gardenia Drive, WEST END – Entry gained via front door and jewellery stolen.  Occurred on 18/11/24 between 18:00hrs and 22:00hrs.

45240134281 Barnes Road, FRIMLEY – attempted burglary via front door and window using crowbar, no entry gained.  Occurred on 21/11/24 at 2035hrs.

45240134553 Malthouse Lane, WEST END – Entry gained via rear patio door, untidy search conducted.  Occurred on 21/11/24 between 16:00hrs and 19:00hrs.

45240135022 Blackthorn Drive, LIGHTWATER – Entry gained via rear backdoor and untidy search conducted and jewellery stolen.  Occurred on 23/11/24 between 16:55hrs and 17:20hrs.

 

Some simple tips to keep your property more secure: 

  • Consider planting thorny bushes around the parameter of your properties particular the back garden parameter. 

  • Leave interior lights on when away from the property both at front and rear of the property.  Leave TV/radio on.

  • Don’t leave ladders, bins or other items that can allow access to first floor windows.

  • Do tell neighbours if you will be away from the property overnight.

    Theft of Motor Vehicle – 4

    45240131543 Grayswood Drive, MYTCHETT – theft of motorbike.  Occurred on 15/11/24 between 02:50hrs and 03:00hrs. 

    45240131788 Woodlands Road, CAMBERLEY – theft of motorbike.  Occurred on 14/11/24 between 23:30hrs and 23:45hrs.

    45240132491 Chapel Road, CAMBERLEY – attempted theft of motorbike. Occurred between 14/11/24 20:00hrs and 16/11/24 05:00hrs.

    45240132743 Guildford Road, LIGHTWATER – theft of motor vehicle (Jaguar XF). Occurred between 16/11/24 14:00hrs and 18/11/24 08:30hrs.

    Theft from Motor Vehicle – 6

    45240131137 Portsmouth Road, CAMBERLEY – theft of tools from multiple vans.  Occurred between 12/11/24 17:00hrs and 13/11/24 07:30hrs.

    45240131327 Halebourne Lane, WEST END – theft of tools from van. Occurred on 14/11/24 between 09:30hrs and 11:00hrs.

    45240131700 Lambourne Drive, BAGSHOT – theft of number plates.  Occurred between 13/11/24 17:00hrs and 14/11/24 16:00hrs.

    45240133120 Earl of Chester Drive, DEEPCUT – vehicle damage.  Occurred between 17/11/24 20:30hrs and 18/11/24 14:30hrs.

    45240134413 Bedford Crescent, FRIMLEY – vehicle damage.  Occurred on 19/11/24 between 18:00hrs and 19:00hrs.

    45240134843 Alison Drive, CAMBERLEY – theft of number plates.  Occurred between 21/11/24 20:00hrs and 22/11/24 11:00hrs.

    To provide a further idea of the criminal activities of the Surrey Heath Police neighbourhood and response teams in the past two weeks, there were 227 new incidents/occurrences being investigated during this period. A summary of relevant incidents by crime type is given below.

    Robbery - 1

    Sexual offences - 4

    Stalking – 1

    Do not give your bank details or transfer money online unless you have taken due diligence to ensure they are a legitimate organisation, if in doubt DO NOT send money.  Please remind your members to report to the police any sextortion and DO NOT send money to blackmailers.
