This weekend, due to reports from residents re anti social driving around the Marsden and Southfield wards, predominantly Barkerhouse Road/Walton Lane and surrounding areas, your Neighbourhood Policing Team have changed shifts to work late into the night to tackle ASB driving.  

Some of the results are as follows:  

1 x arrest - The driver decided he would drive hanging out the window as his windscreen was iced up, the driver was arrested for driving over the prescribed drink drive limit. After blowing over the legal limit in custody, he was charged and will appear at court early next year.

6 x S59 warnings for anti-social driving.

1 x vehicle seized specifically for anti-social driving after having received a S59 warning prior.

1 x vehicle seized S165 no insurance. - A vehicle decided he didn't want to stop for police and abandoned the vehicle nearby, the vehicle was located and seized.

5 x Traffic Offence Reports issued.

2 x producers issued.

12 stop searches under the Misuse of Drugs Act as a result of stopping a range of vehicles. Of these, 10 of these searches yielded positive for possession of drugs and occupants dealt with appropriately.
